After 25 years of friendship and music making, violinist Ani Kavafian, pianist Andre-Michel Schub and clarinetist David Shifrin come together as a trio with undeniable chemistry. They are all members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The members of the Kavafian-Schub-Shifrin Trio have performed with nearly every major orchestra around the world and in recital at the major concert halls. Now the trio visits the Morrison Artists Series at SF State.

The Grammy-nominated Eroica Trio kicks off the Morrison Artists Series 54th season, returning to the site of its West Coast debut in 1990. The trio is on the vanguard of a new generation of artists changing the face of classical music, as one of the first all-female chamber ensembles to reach the top echelon.

Afro-CubanThe Afro-Cuban Ensemble of SF State, founded in 1999, performs a wide variety of Cuban genres, from traditional and folkloric styles to the most contemporary sounds. The 20-piece instrumental and vocal ensemble is unique in its approach in that it organically creates its own new and exciting arrangements each semester.
