The Afro-Cuban Ensemble of SF State, founded in 1999, performs a wide variety of Cuban genres, from traditional and folkloric styles to the most contemporary sounds. The 20-piece instrumental and vocal ensemble is unique in its approach in that it organically creates its own new and exciting arrangements each semester.
