In the installation "Hotbed," designed to complement a current exhibition, "California Video," Los Angeles' famed Getty Center will be projecting Art Department faculty member Paula Levine’s 1987 video “Mirror, Mirror” on its exterior walls as part of a loop of short films.

School of Music and Dance faculty members Victoria Neve and Inara Morgenstern will fill Knuth Hall with the sounds of springtime once again at 1 p.m. May 14 for the 20th annual Pre-Exam Happy Concert. This tradition began when the they decided to "do something cheerful. Instead of something grim and serious," Neve proposed, "let’s do a happy one." This year's concert marks a two-decade tradition of cheerful and clever concert repertoire, performed by two creative masters of the piano.

An SF State Art Department faculty member, guest professor and the San Francisco Arts Commission saved the day in 1994 when the Americans with Disabilities Act called for the redesign of two lively 19th Avenue MUNI platforms, at Holloway and Winston. These M-line hubs have a daily passenger load of about 5,000 students and commuters.

Music alumna Angela Cadelago has garnered stellar reviews for her lead role in the Berkeley Opera production of "L'Elisir d'Amore."

"Cadelago's Adina is consistently wonderful -- right notes, right phrasing, bright sound, good diction, and excellent acting of a role that requires a hard-to-believe transformation from flirty-mean to selflessly loving," Janos Gereben wrote in a March 16 review in the San Francisco Classical Voice. "The soprano also has that ineffable quality that separates good from something better; she definitely has 'it.'"

Theatre Arts Professor John B. Wilson is the set designer for TheatreWorks production of Tony Kushner's musical "Caroline, or Change," now playing at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.
