Many former students return to campus Oct. 17 for Alumni Day, including the producers behind the scenes of “Cheers,” “Frasier” and “Taxi.” Peter Casey and Glen Charles, in conversation with fellow alum Ken Bastida, helm the All-Alumni Luncheon.
Casey (B.A., Radio and Television, ’75) is a seven-time Emmy winner and co-creator and executive producer the sitcoms “Frasier” and “Wings.” He also was a writer and producer for “Cheers” and writer for “The Jeffersons.” Charles (M.A., English, ’68) is an eight-time Emmy winner and co-creator of “Cheers.” He also worked on “Taxi,” “The Bob Newhart Show” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “M*A*S*H.” Bastida (B.A., Radio and Television, ’81) is an anchor for CBS 5 Eyewitness News in San Francisco.
In addition to the luncheon, Alumni Day includes many special events including lectures, seminars and reunions. A College of Creative Arts reunion takes place 4:30–6:30pm in Room 251, Creative Arts Building.
