First prize for 'Charlie and Mama Kyna'

Kudos to Diana Rumjahn, an employee in Creative Arts Technical Services. She won the Best Short Story for Children Award at the Marin County Fair.

Rumjahn’s recent book “Charlie and Mama Kyna” is a heartwarming tale about three stuffed animals who are living in a little orange tent outside Mrs. Cupcake’s Bakery.

Rumjahn is also an award-winning filmmaker. She has worked at SF State since 1988.

The 39th annual Marin County Fair was held July 1–5 in San Rafael.
