Independent Study Opportunity (1-3 units): Arts Marketing Internship

Must be undergraduate or graduate, enrolled students at SF State. This is an elective and may not fulfill a degree requirement. Each student must work weekly with his/her mentor, and meet with the Dean twice per semester for analysis and review. Additionally, the entire team will gather for a monthly lunch/class meeting (we’ll supply food and drink!).

Available positions
- Graphic design: uses CS4 on MacOS, has some design experience
- Web content/social networking producers: bloggers, social media liaisons (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), community evangelists--influencers who love the arts.
- Community relations: comfortable meeting and presenting to groups and providing research
- Publicity: writes copy that sings, has an eagle eye for proofreading, and thorough research skills
- Volunteer coordinator: assist with development and maintenance of student and community volunteers
Multiple students will be selected for each assignment. Each student will have a primary contact, but may also work with other team members.
