InterHarmony is a hit

The InterHarmony International Music Festival, held in the Creative Arts Building this month, was a big hit. Examiner.com blogger Stephen Smoliar reviewed four of the festival’s events.

After attending the grand-finale concert featuring a student orchestra and several festival faculty, Smoliar summed up InterHarmony: “As I had suggested after the first Faculty Concert, these recitals were particularly valuable to the Festival students for providing opportunities to learn to listen; and the opportunities offered by this final event in the series were both satisfying and rewarding.”

InterHarmony, presented in part by the School of Music and Dance, featured well-known soloists and chamber players from around the globe performing and teaching talented young musicians, including SF State students.

The free concert series included performances by cellist Misha Quint, founder and director of InterHarmony; violinist and School of Music and Dance Director Jassen Todorov; Associate Professor Cyrus Ginwala; and other renowned musicians.
