Rays of summer

Earlier this fall, alum Justin Allen helped baseball fans in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area follow the World Series run of their hometown Rays.

Allen (B.A., Radio and Television, ’00) is sports anchor for WTSP-Channel 10, the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg. Allen filed many reports and video blogs for WTSP, traveling to Chicago and Boston for the Rays’ playoff victories. Putting in long hours while also covering the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers and NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, he overcame a bacterial infection in his arm which sent him to a Boston hospital.
