Technical Facilities
The College has a long and vibrant history of connecting artists with technology. Today, students and faculty use digital tools to compose music, design lighting for theatre productions, create visual effects and animation for film and television, stream video on the Web, and design products and virtual worlds.

Devoted to learning and production with 3D computer graphics applications for animation, product design and virtual worlds. - State-of-the art sound
recording and mixing stages
An isolated machine room, separate Foley stage, automated mix consoles and 24-track hard-disc recorders. - Digital cinema
post-production facilities
Industry-standard software for digital video editing, web design and DVD authoring as well as three Avid suites. - Extensive
audio and video production facilities
Includes three color television studios (the largest measures 4,700 square feet), videotape editing laboratories equipped with off-line and broadcast quality on-line editing systems, a digital post-production "new media" laboratory for computer-based audio and video editing, an audio recording studio, a radio station, and audio practice laboratories.

The largest auditorium at San Francisco State University and is equipped with 35mm projection plus a Tularia video system. - Knuth Hall (capacity 322)
The second largest auditorium within San Francisco State University's College of Creative Arts and is used primarily for music performances and lectures. - Little
Theatre (seats 253)
One of the most frequently used auditoriums in the College, features a proscenium stage - Studio Theatre (seats 85)
Features a modified thrust stage with fixed grid - Fine Arts Gallery
3,200 square-feet of professional exhibition space, a back projection screen and gallery preparation and curatorial rooms. - Dance Studio 203
Dance rehearsal and performance space with retractable bleacher seating.
