Pre-Show Talk
Join Sheldon Axler, dean of the SF State College of Science and Engineering, for a pre-show talk at 7:15pm Friday, Oct. 16, in the Studio Theatre. He will discuss the nature of mathematical proof, differences between mathematical and scientific proofs, depictions of mathematicians in theatre and film, and the dangers of a false proof. Math magic may also be performed.
